PMC-Sierra will showcase PON, Converged
Carrier Ethernet and OTN semiconductor solutions that enable
high-performance broadband connectivity at P&T EXPO/COMM from
October 11-15, 2010 in hall 1A, booth 260 in Beijing, China.
FTTH: PMC-Sierra will demonstrate
high-performance, field-proven end-to-end FTTH solutions combined
with innovative Ethernet over Coax partner technology that offers
cable operators capabilities to enable FTTx deployments that
efficiently drive fiber deeper into the cable networks. Several
customer GPON ONT solutions will also be on display. PMC-Sierra is
the only supplier to support EPON (IEEE 802.3ah Ethernet in the
First Mile), 10G EPON (IEEE 802.3av) and GPON (ITU-T G.984)
standards, and has introduced an innovative new TotalPON solution
that focuses on the common features of developing PON systems,
specifically the common speed of 10Gb/s with common networking
elements, and provides a complete architecture to address the
fragmented global market.

showcase META 20G, the industry’s first multiservice
(OTN/Ethernet/POS) solution with integrated Packet Timing (IEEE
1588v2 and SyncE) required for latency critical services like
