Using the new master data management solution, PeopleForce has completed de-duplication and data quality assessment and cleanup on some nine million master company records accumulated by PIERS over 23 years. The scale of the matching challenge was daunting until the Pervasive DataRush-powered application enabled PIERS to process records at breathtaking speeds. �One key step in the process involves clustering disjoint sets,� said Dave Herman, president and CEO of PeopleForce. �Our initial approach, built on a mainstream relational database, took three hours to cluster 14 million records. Using the Pervasive DataRush architecture and bypassing the database altogether, we clustered those same 14 million records in just 22 seconds on PIERS� 8-core server.
