TORONTO, Nov. 9, 2011 /CNW/ - Morningstar Research Inc., a Canadian subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc. , will hold its 17(th) annual Morningstar® Canadian Investment Awards Gala on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto. Canada's most celebrated improv comedian, Colin Mochrie, will host the gala and his wife, actress Debra McGrath, will accompany him. As the industry's premier investment awards program, the Morningstar Canadian Investment Awards have a longstanding history of recognizing companies and individuals who have made a difference in the lives of investors. The event will include live music and comedy integrated with state-of-the-art, innovative stage production. The evening features a networking cocktail reception, the awards dinner, and an after-party celebrating the launch of the 2012 Canadian Investment Guide, published by Investment Executive.
