SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (NASDAQ:ISSI) today announced the hiring of Scott D. Howarth as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Howarth is currently in his fifth year as Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer of Chrontel, Inc., a San Jose, California based fabless semiconductor company. Previously he was at Securecom Networks, a start-up that was successfully acquired. His career also includes 16 years at Intel Corporation in various assignments in the financial arena. Mr. Howarth is currently scheduled to begin work at ISSI on February 21, 2006. Jimmy Lee, ISSI's Chairman and CEO, is a board member of Chrontel and has known Mr. Howarth since 2001. "Scott and I have worked well together during my tenure as a board member of his prior company," said Mr. Lee. "I look forward to continuing a good working relationship with him as he joins ISSI." Mr. Howarth replaces Gary Fischer whose resignation as President and Chief Financial Officer so that he could join a start-up company was announced on November 16, 2005. Mr. Fischer will remain on the ISSI board and plans to assist ISSI and Mr. Howarth with transitional issues.
