Harris Interactive® (NASDAQ:HPOL), a leading global custom
market research firm, today announced that Jeni Lee Chapman has
joined the company as its Executive Vice President, Global Brand
and Communication Consulting. Chapman brings nearly 18 years of
market research and client management experience with a particular
focus on applying relevant research to help marketers optimize what
they spend on supporting their brands, and connect how that
translates into brand awareness and ultimately market share. She
will oversee the company’s global brand and marketing
communications consulting, working to refine a product portfolio in
brand strategy, communication development/testing, and tracking,
worldwide. She will report to George Terhanian, President of Global
Solutions.
Chapman served as Executive Vice President at Perception
Research Services since early 2009, with responsibilities for
Account Management and Marketing. While there, she handled the roll
out of a large strategic global relationship with a leading
consumer packaged goods company as well as leading the development
of strategic partnerships in areas such as biosensory research.
Prior to that role, Chapman was at TNS for 12 years, where she
held several senior leadership positions in the Brand and
Communication areas, including her role as EVP for the TNS Brand
Practice where she managed a team of over 100 employees. In this
capacity, she leveraged vertical relationships to build advertising
and brand focused research opportunities, contributing to
impressive revenue and profit growth. At TNS, Chapman managed
cross-functional sales and project teams, effectively creating
linkages with TNS’ vertical businesses following the company’s
merger with NFO WorldGroup.
Before her time at TNS, Chapman served at NFO as its Vice
President, International Research Champion North America, building
the advertising and brand communications area with an initial focus
on generating multi-country business with existing U.S.
clients.
"Jeni is an impressive thought leader with a demonstrated
understanding of the implications of the changing media landscape
on brand and communications research, and a strong track record of
growing sales and revenues on a sustainable basis,” said Terhanian.
“I am confident that her proven market research and general
management skills will contribute to the future success of Harris
Interactive.”
Stated Chapman, “I am strongly motivated by applying innovation
and strategic vision to contribute to the growth of a business, and
am thrilled to be joining a company that shares my outlook and that
has such a rich history as a leader in the market research
industry.”
Preceding her time with TNS, Chapman was Director of
International Research at Demoscopia in Madrid, where her focus was
on producing custom research for the Spanish and international
client base.
Chapman holds a Bachelors Degree in International Relations and
Spanish from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. She is a
member of several industry organizations and often speaks at market
research industry events.
