Cyber Security Industry Alliance Announces Affiliate Member Program Enabling Emerging Security and Large IT Enterprise Companies to Join Efforts to Improve Cyber Security WASHINGTON, July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Cyber Security Industry Alliance (CSIA) today announced an affiliate member program enabling small security firms and large IT enterprises to participate in CSIA activities. The "Emerging Security Partner" affiliate member category is open to cyber security software, hardware, or service firms with less than $10 million in annual revenue and less than 100 employees. The "Large IT Enterprise Partner" affiliate category is available to a limited number of firms that provide operating or networking systems, or system integration. Affiliate members can appoint a non-voting representative to participate in each CSIA working committee, propose initiatives to be considered by the Alliance and have access to the "Partners" area of the CSIA website enabling access to CSIA committee proceedings, white papers and research projects. "With the creation of the affiliate member program, CSIA is better positioned to develop comprehensive cyber security policy solutions for the benefit of home users, small businesses, and large enterprises," said Paul Kurtz, executive director of CSIA. "We understand the importance of working closely with large IT enterprises that provide operating and networking systems and systems integration, as well as the need to include small firms with important security technologies. We invite those firms that fall into one of these categories and share our commitment to improve cyber security policy to join CSIA as affiliate members." CSIA's original membership categories -- Charter and Principal Memberships -- are limited to companies with substantial business revenue derived from providing cyber security hardware, software, and services.
