CRDN Ceradyne, Inc. (MM)

Ceradyne, Inc. (Company) (Nasdaq:CRDN) appointed Dr. Thomas Juengling to the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer. Included in the duties of this position will be the coordination of the research and development efforts in North America and at Ceradyne ESK Ceramics' R&D laboratories in Germany. Although Dr. Juengling will coordinate all Ceradyne R&D efforts, the direct reporting organization in Germany will remain unchanged. Juengling spent eight years at ESK Ceramics in a number of technical management positions and holds a Ph.D. in engineering and materials science from the University of Karlsruhe. Juengling has relocated from Germany to accept this new position at Ceradyne's corporate headquarters in Costa Mesa, California. Joel P.
