Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX) today announced the acquisition
of Nortech Telecommunications, Inc. (NTI), a privately-held company
based out of Chicago, IL. NTI has an active customer base which
includes commercial, education and various government agency
accounts. Annual historical revenues of NTI are approximately $8
million. Larry Denison and Norman Kwak, former NTI owners, comment,
�We are excited about becoming a part of the Black Box family. By
joining forces with Black Box, we will be positioned to not only
continue to provide our customers with the highest quality voice
and data services, but also the best hotline products and on-site
services in the industry.� Mr. Denison and Mr. Kwak will report to
Rick Gannon, Black Box Regional General Manager. Commenting on the
acquisition, Mr. Gannon stated, �NTI is a premiere provider of
voice and data services in the Chicago area. With a high commitment
to customer service and strong customer relationships, NTI will
provide a solid base in this market to expand our industry-leading
voice, data and hotline products and on-site services.� This
transaction is being accounted for as a purchase. The purchase
