Basin Water Appoints Richard A. Reese Executive Officer

Basin Water, Inc. (NASDAQ:BWTR), announced today the appointment of
Mr. Richard A. Reese by its Board of Directors to serve as an
executive officer of the company, with the title Vice President of
Marketing. Mr. Reese is a fifteen-year veteran in marketing, sales
and integration of technology into service-based businesses for the
industrial and municipal water and wastewater markets. Immediately
prior to joining Basin Water, he served as Vice President and
General Manager, Aftermarket, for Siemens Water Technologies, a
world leader in water and wastewater products, equipment and
service. He has been with Basin Water since September of 2007, and
during that time has been responsible for aligning both the
company�s technology and services offerings and its sales force
with the needs of the nationwide marketplace. According to Mike
Stark, President and Chief Operating Officer of Basin Water, Mr.
Reese�s appointment underlines the company�s commitment to
developing a team of top industry talent to manage its continuing

to joining USFilter, Mr.�Reese served in Regional Vice President
and Business Development roles with Mobley Environmental Services,
Inc., as an Operations manager for Browning Ferris Waste Management
Systems Inc., and as an engineer for R.J. Brown and Associates of
America and J.P. Kenny Offshore Engineering. Mr.�Reese holds a B.S.
degree in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University and an
MBA from the University of Texas. He resides in Houston, TX. About
