Air Methods Expands Community-Based Operations in Virginia DENVER, March 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Air Methods Corporation announced today that it has expanded its community-based operations in Virginia. Recently, the Company, in coordination with Medicorp Health Systems in Fredericksburg, Virginia, commenced operations with a BK 117 twin-engine helicopter. David Dolstein, Air Methods' senior vice president of the LifeNet Division, stated, "We are pleased to have finalized our expansion initiative in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Combined, our Richmond and Fredericksburg operations will serve a population base of several million people and will transport patients to tertiary hospitals throughout the region."
