Baldwin Chairman Gerald A. Nathe Receives NAPL Vanguard Award For Distinguished Leadership

Baldwin Technology Company, Inc. (NYSE Amex: BLD), a global
leader in process automation technology for the printing industry
announced today that Chairman Gerald A. Nathe has been honored with
the prestigious National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL)
Vanguard Award for his service and leadership contributions to the
advancement of the Graphic Communications Industry during his
career.
The award was presented by the NAPL at a ceremony in Tucson,
Ariz. The award cited Nathe as a skilled leader of enterprises that
have had a substantial impact on the industry�s continued progress
through innovative developments and technological breakthroughs.
Nathe was praised for supporting the future success of the printing
industry through his work on behalf of NAPL, the Research and
Engineering Council of NAPL, the Graphic Arts Show Company, the
Rochester Institute of Technology Advisory Board and the Graphic
Arts Education & Research Foundation.
Nathe said, �I was flattered to be nominated and I was honored

Nathe has been a member of the Baldwin Technology board since
1987 and has served as chairman since 1997. He served as CEO from
October 1995 until November 2001 and again from October 2002
through June 2007. He was president from August 1993 through March
2001 and from October 2002 through June 2005.
The Vanguard award is given annually to an individual of high
moral character who personifies the principles of craftsmanship or
who has definable achievements in an area of technical endeavor
characterized as technical leadership demonstrated through work in
associations, through practical technological achievement or
invention, or through leadership participation in various phases of
graphic arts education.
