Aurora Cannabis Inc. (ACB.T) on Tuesday said it currently has no agreement, understanding or arrangement for any partnership with a beverage company.

Shares of Aurora and other cannabis companies surged Monday after a report that Coca-Cola Co. (KO) has been in talks for a deal with Aurora.

Edmonton-based Aurora said that while its policy is to not comment on media reports, it confirmed "that it engages in exploratory discussions with industry participants from time to time."

Bloomberg reported that Coca-Cola was in talks with Aurora to develop drinks infused with CBD, the non-psychoactive ingredient in marijuana.

Coke on Monday said it is "closely watching" CBD as a potential ingredient in beverages, but said "no decisions have been made" on creating such a drink.
