Telefonica Appoints Jordi Gual Sole to Board of Directors

Telefonica SA (TEF.MC) said Wednesday that it has appointed
Jordi Gual Sole to the board of directors as a replacement for
Antonio Massanell Lavilla.
Mr. Gual Sole will hold the position of proprietary director,
the company said.
The announcement follows Mr. Massanell Lavilla's voluntarily
resignation from his position as company director last month.
The Spanish telecommunications provider said that Mr. Gual Sole
was also named as a member of both the regulation and institutional
affairs committee, as well as the strategy and innovation
committee.
