Experience in complex, contentious disputes supports new venture

Veteran Austin attorney Julie A. Springer has expanded her practice to offer mediation and arbitration services to efficiently and effectively resolve business disputes, higher education/Title IX disputes and employment conflicts.

A partner in the litigation boutique of Weisbart Springer Hayes, she is now certified as a mediator and has begun offering her services as both a mediator and arbitrator. One of the few attorneys in Texas who is Board Certified in both Civil Trial Law and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Ms. Springer will maintain her active trial practice.

“My colleagues and clients have encouraged me to take this step for years, and the time was right,” says Ms. Springer. “With the success of our firm and the growing skills and experience of our younger attorneys, I am able to devote a portion of my practice to helping other firms and their clients resolve litigation short of the courtroom. I’m looking forward to this.”

With a reputation built during the past three decades for passion, drive and integrity both in and out of the courtroom, Ms. Springer has handled a wide range of employment litigation, including national class and collective actions, as well as high-profile Title IX matters involving leading academic institutions.

Her expertise and experience extend to business litigation involving contract and partnership disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, alleged violations of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements and misappropriation of trade secret claims.

“Julie has the knowledge and temperament to really excel in this area of the law that is growing in importance and use,” says fellow firm partner Geoff Weisbart. “She’s earned the respect of the legal community as a consummate professional, and I can’t imagine anyone better at bringing opposing sides to the table and reaching an equitable resolution. We are also very excited about using our new space which includes a courtroom to host mediations and arbitrations.”

Ms. Springer is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates – ABOTA – and has been repeatedly recognized on the lists of Texas Super Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Commercial Litigation and Labor and Employment Litigation.

Ms. Springer offers mediation and arbitration sessions at the firm’s offices, or at a location that best meets the needs of the participants. More information on fees and scheduling can be found at Mediations | Weisbart Springer Hayes (wshllp.com)
