PRSA-New York is accepting submissions for the 37th Annual
PRSA-NY Big Apple Awards. Through July 19, organizations and
independent PR professionals can take advantage of reduced
early-entry fees for the 2024 Big Apple Awards, which represent the
highest level of recognition by the New York area’s communications
leaders. The extended deadline for all entries is August 16. Enter

The annual awards luncheon will be held in person on October 30
at Manhatta, on 28 Liberty Street in New York City’s Financial
District. This year’s program will focus on the theme of
Collaboration and Innovation. The theme celebrates the remarkable
achievements of the industry in innovation and mentorship, ensuring
a thriving industry for all. For nearly four decades, the Big Apple
Awards have been widely acknowledged as one of the highest honors
bestowed in public relations.

2024 BIG APPLE AWARDS DETAILS

The New York Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America
established the Big Apple Awards program in 1988 to encourage
excellence in public relations. The program continues to evolve to
keep pace with a rapidly changing industry and celebrates the
exciting and innovative successes of talented professionals working
in the heart of the communications universe. Today, a Big Apple
Award is known as one of the highest honors bestowed in public
relations, and in recognition, submissions will be open to the work
of PR practitioners from across the US.
SUBMISSION DEADLINES AND PRICING
Public relations organizations and individual practitioners can
submit their campaigns in up to three categories and save
additional costs on the overall awards. The deadline to receive a
15% early bird discount is July 19, and the regular deadline and
pricing are:

JUDGING
The awards are all read and scored by senior-level PR pros who
dedicate their time to identifying and awarding the best work
submitted. The judging panel is comprised of experienced,
senior-level PR professionals representing a wide range of
disciplines and expertise. Groups of senior professionals judge
every Big Apple Award entry objectively. Special care is taken to
assure that all judges remain impartial and are not assigned to
review nominations that create a conflict of interest. PRSA-NY
provides the judges with a consistent set of criteria and score
sheets, along with training on our standards and best practices.
