Reinhard Buhl Named Group Executive of ZF Car Chassis Technology Division FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- ZF -- a leading worldwide automotive supplier of driveline and chassis technology -- named Reinhard Buhl as Group Executive of ZF Lemforder Fahrwerktechnik AG & Co. KG, Lemforde -- the car chassis division of ZF -- effective Jan. 1, 2004. He takes over the position from Bernd Habersack, who will retire Dec. 31, 2003. In his new position he will direct all worldwide activities of the car chassis technology division and hold a seat on the ZF Board of Management. Buhl is currently responsible for operations within the car chassis technology division, but has held positions within other ZF divisions, including Chief Operating Officer of the commercial vehicle axle systems division in Passau, Germany. Born in 1952 in Lower-Saxony, Germany, Buhl studied at the college in Osnabruck, Germany before joining the company as a test engineer and designer in 1978. Habersack directed the ZF car chassis technology division since 1996 and managed operations in North America from 2001 until June of this year. He joined the company in 1986.
