The Company received, on 22 October 2004, notification from Scottish Widows
Investment Partnership in accordance with s198 of the Companies Act 1985, as
amended, the following interest.

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has notified the Company that it is
interested in 1,972,867 ordinary shares. Of this interest 1,457,820 shares are
material interests that represent 3.65 per cent. of the issued share capital.

The notification is made on behalf of Lloyds TSB Group plc, Lloyds TSB Bank plc
and Scottish Widows Group Limited who are all companies within the Lloyds TSB
Group of companies.
