                 Oversubscription of Syndicated Bank Facilities


Venture Production plc, the Aberdeen based independent oil and gas production
company, today announces that it has successfully completed the syndication of
its Senior Bank Facilities to a syndicate of eleven banks. Barclays Bank plc
underwrote and were Bookrunner for the Bank Facilities and Lloyds TSB Bank plc
and The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc were Mandated Lead Arrangers. Despite
difficult credit market conditions, demand for the facility was strong and has
allowed Venture to increase the size of the facilities to #365 million. As
announced on 30 August 2007, Venture has also raised $424 million and #25
million through a privately placed Senior Loan Note and therefore the
oversubscription of the Senior Bank Facilities takes Venture's total Senior Debt
Facilities to #600 million.
