(the "Company" or "VOC")
Appointment of Director
The Board of VOC is pleased to announce the appointment, with immediate effect,
of John Edward Hallam (aged 61) as a non-executive director of the Company. Mr
Hallam has also been appointed chairman of the audit committee with immediate
effect.
Mr Hallam is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and
Wales and qualified as an accountant in 1971. Previously, he was a partner at
PricewaterhouseCoopers and retired in 1999 after 27 years with the firm in
Guernsey and in other countries. Mr Hallam is currently chairman of Cazenove
Absolute Equity Ltd and Partners Group Global Opportunities Ltd. He is also a
director of a number of other financial services companies, some of which are
listed on the London Stock Exchange. Mr Hallam served for many years as a
member and latterly chairman of the Guernsey Financial Services Commission, from
which he retired in 2006.
