Unilever NV has applied to the London Stock Exchange Limited
for 41,250 Ordinary shares of FL 4 each (shares) to be
admitted to the Official List.  It is expected that permission
to admit the new shares will be granted on Wednesday 24
September 1997 and that dealings will commence on Thursday 25
September 1997.

These shares represent the updating and reconciliation of the
Stock Exchange's records of listed share capital with those of
the Company.

These shares will rank pari passu with the existing issued
Ordinary shares.
