UTILICO INVESTMENT TRUST PLC



Utilico Investment Trust plc announces the allotment of 65,612 Ordinary Shares
of 1.5625p each and 46,128 ZDP Shares of 177.52p each.  These shares, which rank
pari passu with the existing shares in issue, have been allotted following the
exercise of 102,541 Warrants on 30 April 2006.  Application has been made for
the new Ordinary Shares and ZDP shares to be listed and admitted to trading on
the Stock Exchange and dealings are expected to commence on 10 May 2006.



As a result of this exercise, the total number of Ordinary Shares in issue now
stands at 64,448,296, the total number of ZDP Shares in issue stands at
45,315,179 and the total number of Warrants in issue stands at 19,644,919.
