Taylor Woodrow plc ("TW") announces that Taylor Woodrow QUEST Trustee Limited,
a wholly-owned subsidiary of TW has on 25 November, 1998 purchased by
subscription 3,928,586 25p ordinary shares of TW at 162p (representing the
middle market quotation at the close of business that day).

The shares have been allotted by TW within an existing block listing granted
by the London Stock Exchange and are required to meet the requirements of
options awarded to employees of TW and its subsidiaries under the TW
Savings-Related Share Option Scheme ("the Scheme") 1991 -7 year options and
1993 - 5 year options.

As previously advised to the Exchange the following executive directors of TW
have an interest in the said shares by reason of their participation in the
1993 Scheme for which the option price per share is 96p:

K.R. Egerton  10,781 shares
D.A. Green    17,968 shares
M. Laycock    17,968 shares
C.J. Parsons  17,968 shares
P.D. Phipps   17,968 shares
