The Board of Taylor Woodrow plc has announced that John Castle has resigned 
by mutual agreement as CEO and a Director of Taylor Woodrow plc.  It had
become apparent in recent months that there was a fundamental incompatibility
between the Board and Mr Castle and, consequently, Mr Castle had chosen to
resign.

Mr Parsons thanked Mr Castle for his contribution to Taylor Woodrow during his
period in office, and wished him well in his future endeavours.

The office of Chairman and Chief Executive will be assumed by Mr Parsons
pending the appointment of a new CEO in due course.

In accordance with the Cadbury Code,  Sir Kit McMahon the senior non-executive
director will be appointed Deputy Chairman.

Mr Parsons stated that the company is in excellent financial health and is
anticipating another year of steadily improving results as indicated at the
time of the recent release of the interim results.
