         Senior Management Appointment: former Misys Sales Director 
                              to join Total Systems
                   

The  Directors of Total Systems plc, the financial services software  supplier
and  internet, intranet and extranet developers, are pleased to  announce  the
appointment  of  Carl Baker to the position of Sales Director  Designate.   He
will  work  alongside John Rivans, Total Systems' Sales & Marketing  Director,
and report to Chairman and Group Managing Director, Terry Bourne.

Carl,  aged 40, starts on Monday 13 September and will oversee the sales  team
whilst developing further the company's marketing activities paying particular
attention to new business leads in those sectors, general insurance and  funds
management, where Total Systems are strongest.

Previously,  Carl has worked at Misys and during his 10 years there  held  two
senior  sales & marketing positions which enabled him to sit on two subsidiary
boards.   Upon leaving Misys in 1994 he established Perfect Ten Group Limited,
a computer software company developing management information systems for sale
to  customers  within  the  UK insurance sector.  The  business  was  sold  to
Computer  Sciences  Corporation  ("CSC") in 1997  and  Carl  was  appointed  a
director (within the Information and Data Services division) of CSC Ra Group.

Commenting upon the forthcoming arrival of Carl Baker, Terry Bourne, Chairman,
said:
