                         Exercise of Share Options

Total Systems plc ("the Company"), suppliers of established software products
to the financial services market, wish to inform the London Stock Exchange
that on 8 January 2002 Mr Ian J G Hamilton (Operations Director) advised the
Company's Board that he wanted to exercise some of his share options and
requested the necessary clearance to do so.  Clearance was duly granted and
earlier today he exercised the following options:
