                        APPOINTMENT OF COMPANY SECRETARY



Thistle Hotels Plc announces that Thistle's Company Secretary, Cathy Baxandall,
has left the Group to join Yorkshire Group Plc.

An announcement regarding Cathy Baxandall's successor will be made in due course
but in the interim period, Ian Durant, Thistle's Finance Director will act as
Company Secretary.
