Sportsworld Media Group plc

Sportsworld Media Group plc ("Sportsworld" or the "Company") announces that
application has been made for admission of 234,375 ordinary shares of 5p each
in the capital of the Company ("new Ordinary Shares") to the Official List of
the London Stock Exchange ("Official List") and to the Financial Services
Authority for the admission of the Consideration Shares to the Official List
as a result of the proposed acquisition of the 49 per cent. of the issued
share capital of SSM Freesports Limited not already owned by Sportsworld (the
"Proposed Acquisition"). 

Sportsworld posted a circular to shareholders on 2 May 2000 regarding the
Proposed Acquisition and seeking their approval at an extraordinary general
meeting convened for 10.00 a.m. on 18 May 2000.

The new Ordinary Shares will be issued credited as fully paid and will, on
issue, rank pari passu in all respects with the existing issued ordinary share
capital of the Company. 

It is expected that Admission will become effective and that dealings in the
new Ordinary Shares on the Official List will commence on 22 May 2000.
