Strathdon Investments plc ("Strathdon") announces today that it has agreed to
the management buy-out of Newnova Limited ("Newnova").

Under this agreement Strathdon sells its 49.8% equity holding and preference
shares in Newnova for a consideration of �810,000 to a new company owned by
management, Newnova Group Limited. Strathdon received a gross up front payment
of �405,352 and will receive the balance in two instalments on 31 March 2009 and
2010.

Strathdon's existing �149,500 loan to Newnova will also be repaid over 3 1/2
years.

The price paid represents a multiple of 1.7 times the cost of Strathdon's
original investment.

The holding value for Newnova was increased in Strathdon's 2007 Interim
Financial Statements to reflect the anticipated net present value of this
transaction.
