                           JOINS SPG MEDIA GROUP PLC
                           AS NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


SPG Media Group plc ("SPG"), announces that Christopher Blake, with a background
in Publishing, Internet and Venture Capital, has joined the board as a
non-executive director with effect from Tuesday 14th December.

Mr. Blake is currently Executive Chairman of James & James, an environmental
publisher and Babyworld.com, a web based community Internet portal; he also a
non-executive chairman of Connextra, an Internet advertising company.

Steve Nicholson, SPG Chairman, commented;  "The board are delighted that Chris
will be joining the board given his background and wealth of relevant
operational and financial experience".

No details are required to be disclosed under paragraph 6.F.2 (b) to (g) of the
listing rules.
