                Extraordinary General Meeting

The Board of Sodra Petroleum AB announces that at the
Extraordinary General Meeting held today, all resolutions
were duly passed.

These included the amendment of Section 3 of the Articles of
Association to reflect the focus of the Company on exploration 
and winning of oil, gas and minerals in the Falkland Islands 
area and the appointment of Dr Roger John Russell Cairns as 
a non-executive director.

Dr Cairns is currently a director of CEDAR International
Limited.

In the past five years he has held directorships with Hardy
Oil & Gas plc, Hardy Exploration & Production Limited, Hardy
North Sea Limited, Hardy Petroleum Limited, Hardy Timor Gap
Petroleum and Hardy UK Holdings Limited.  He resigned from
all of these directorships on 31st March 1998.

Commenting at the EGM, Adolf Lundin, Chairman of Sodra,said:

"We are delighted to have attracted someone of Roger's
calibre to the Board.  His experience in building Hardy into
a major independent Exploration & Production company quoted
on the London Stock Exchange and his technical expertise in
the sector will greatly benefit Sodra as it seeks to
capitalise on an exciting position offshore the Falklands."
