New customer win
William Sinclair is pleased to announce that it has won the
national contract to supply its Multi-Purpose growing compost to
Sainsbury's.
William Sinclair will provide Sainsbury's with its J.Arthur
Bowers branded compost ahead of the busy 2011 spring growing
season. The contract represents approximately 75 per cent of all of
Sainsbury's compost requirements.
J.Arthur Bowers, one of William Sinclair's most established and
best performing products, is a potting compost for all gardening
uses including seed-sowing, pricking out, houseplants, hanging
baskets and patio containers.
William Sinclair will begin delivering its compost to
Sainsbury's on 15 February 2011 and the J.Arthur Bowers product
will be available to Sainsbury's customers from 23 February
2011.

Notes:
-- William Sinclair's brands include J.Arthur Bowers and the
award winning New Horizon. New Horizon has won nine Which? Best Buy
awards.
-- William Sinclair recently launched its peat free alternative
under the trade name SuperFyba.
-- With similar characteristics to peat, SuperFyba looks and
behaves like peat, but is made from a renewable by-product from the
production of green compost.
-- Sinclair's significant investment in new technologies has
secured an end use for this by- product, avoiding the need for it
to go to landfill.
-- Approved by Nottingham Trent University, SuperFyba is already
being used by a number of customers and many professional growers
are taking deliveries for their own in house trials.
