                                            (the "Company")

The Company was notified today that:

        1.      Hoodless  Brennan  & Partners plc ("Hoodless") acquired 6,000,000 ordinary  shares  of
                 10p each in the Company ("shares"), representing 6.24% of the issued share capital of
                 the  Company, on 8 March 2004. By the close of business on 8 March 2004 Hoodless  had
                 disposed of 2,546,000 shares. The remaining 3,454,000 shares in which Hoodless had an
                 interest represented 3.59% of the issued share capital of the Company.

        2.      Hoodless  disposed  of  a  further 2,761,000 shares on 9  March  2004.  The  remaining
                 693,000  shares  in which Hoodless had an interest represented 0.72%  of  the  issued
                 share  capital  of  the  Company,  being below  the  threshold  for  notification  of
                 shareholdings pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Act 1985.

The Company has received no further notifications from Hoodless.
