MANAGEMENT AND BOARD APPOINTMENTS
London, UK and Los Angeles, California, November 4, 2008 - Solar Integrated Technologies, Inc. (AIM:SIT.LN), a leading provider of
building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) roofing systems, is announcing the appointment of Jim L. Balas as Interim Chief Financial Officer
with immediate effect following the departure of John M. Palumbo, who is stepping down today. Jim Balas has been Vice President of Finance
at Solar Integrated since March 2006.
The Company also announces the appointment of Sanjeev Kumar, 44, as a member of the board of directors and an adviser to management with
immediate effect. Mr. Kumar previously served as Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Energy Conversion Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENER)
("ECD"), the leading global manufacturer of thin-film flexible solar laminates.
R. Randall MacEwen, President and CEO of Solar Integrated, commented: "Jim is the ideal person to take up the responsibilities of
Interim Chief Financial Officer at this time. He has been leading our review of options for a new credit facility that better aligns with
the Company's business profile. He has also spearheaded our improvements in financial reporting and internal controls over the last few
years, and was integral in the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as our auditor."
Prior to Solar Integrated, Jim Balas was the Director of Finance and Corporate Development at Nasdaq-listed Keystone Automotive
Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ:KEYS) where he was responsible for mergers & acquisitions, strategic planning, budgeting and the successful
implementation of Keystone's Sarbanes-Oxley program. He has also held roles as a Senior Manager of Corporate Development at both Capgemini
and Ernst & Young Consulting. Mr. Balas also spent 5 years as an auditor for Ernst & Young LLP. He is a Certified Public Accountant and
holds an MBA from the University of Southern California.
Mr. MacEwen added: "We are also very excited to welcome Sanjeev to Solar Integrated. Sanjeev brings with him 15 years of expertise in
the energy sector, including the past 3 years at ECD and previously 9 years with Occidental Petroleum Corporation in Los Angeles. During his
time at ECD, we developed a strong relationship with Sanjeev. He knows our company, markets, products and management. He is a proven leader
and will bring significant strategic contribution along with capital and debt markets experience to our team."
During Mr. Kumar's tenure at ECD, ECD turned the corner operationally and financially, reached profitability, completed a $405 million
capital raise, closed a $55 million secured revolving credit facility (including a $25 million Ex-Im sub-facility) and delivered significant
value to shareholders. Mr. Kumar also served on the board of directors of Ovonyx Inc., a semiconductor memory joint venture partially owned
by ECD. Prior to joining ECD, Mr. Kumar was the CFO for Rutherford Chemicals, a New Jersey based company owned by a private equity firm.
Previously, Mr. Kumar was the CFO for Rhodia Inc. in New Jersey. Mr. Kumar holds a B.A. in Business Administration and has an MBA from the
University of Southern California. Mr. Kumar also holds a CPA license in the State of California.

Mr. MacEwen added: "We would like to thank John for all the work he has done for Solar Integrated since February 2006. He has worked
successfully with Jim to implement initiatives that have supported our improvements in financial performance and financial reporting."
Mr. Palumbo will be taking up the position as CEO of PartsChannel, Inc., an aftermarket auto body parts distributor. John Palumbo
