RENN UNIVERSAL GROWTH INVESTMENT TRUST PLC (the "Company")

The Company has today been notified that Mr Andrew Barker, a non-executive
Director of the Company, sold 16,549 Ordinary shares at the Tender Price of
297.0036 pence per share as part of the Company's recent Tender Offer.

Following this transaction, Mr Barker is now interested in a total of 48,451
Ordinary shares of the Company (representing 0.37% of the total voting rights).
