RENN UNIVERSAL GROWTH INVESTMENT TRUST PLC (the "Company")

The Company has today been notified that Mr William Vanderfelt, a non-executive
Director of RENN Universal Growth Investment Trust PLC, has sold 296,805
Ordinary shares at the Tender Price of 297.0036 pence per share as part of the
Company's recent Tender Offer.

Following this transaction, Mr Vanderfelt is now interested in a total of
828,195 Ordinary shares of the Company (representing 6.33% of the total voting
rights).
