RTL Group to acquire 20% stake in France's Sud Radio

Luxembourg, January 25, 2001 -  RTL Group announced today it has been granted
approval by the CSA (Conseil Superieur de l'Audiovisuel) to acquire a 20 pct
stake in French radio group Sud Radio, from Sud Communication, for a cash
consideration of euro 5.48m.

RTL expects the transaction to be completed by the end of this month.
