RICEMAN INSURANCE INVESTMENTS PLC

The Board of Riceman Insurance Investments plc ("Riceman") announces that,
with effect 7th April 1999, Martin Roberts and Francis Mathew have been
appointed Executive Directors of the Company.

Mr Roberts aged 37, has been with Riceman since September 1997 and is
responsible for underwriting matters.  Mr Mathew, aged 45, joined Riceman
shortly after it was admitted to the AIM market in September 1995 and is
responsible for the Company's operations in the former Soviet Union.
