Response to press speculation



The board of Reed Health has noted the recent press speculation about the
possible interest of certain Reed Health institutional shareholders to acquire
shares held by Alec Reed and parties related to the Reed family at a substantial
premium. Following discussions with certain institutional shareholders in Reed
Health and Alec Reed on this matter, the board of Reed Health has been informed
that no such acquisition is currently anticipated.
