Playboy in Paradise: St. Vincent Salutes Playboy's 50th with Six
Commemorative Postage Stamps NEW YORK, Nov. 17
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Caribbean will only get hotter when a
series of international postage stamps depicting 50 years of
Playboy's most memorable covers is issued by the island nation of
St. Vincent and the Grenadines. From the unforgettable 1953 cover
of Marilyn Monroe to the striking January 2004 Gold Anniversary
cover, the best of five decades of Playboy will be represented on
six individual $1.50 legal tender stamps. Playboy, the first
magazine ever to be honored on a stamp, joins the company of other
international icons who have been immortalized on St. Vincent
stamps including Elvis Presley, Princess Diana and John Lennon. The
stamps will be issued by the government of St. Vincent and the
Grenadines on December 1, 2003, and will be available for purchase
through PlayboyStore.com as well as at any St. Vincent and the
