            PetroLatina Energy plc ("PetroLatina" or the "Company")

                               Director's Dealing

The Company was informed today that Nicholas Gay, a Non-Executive Director of
the Company, has sold 225,000 ordinary shares in the Company to meet a tax
liability arising out of the original acquisition of ordinary shares in the
Company. 200,000 of these ordinary shares were sold at 28.125p and the remaining
25,000 were sold at 28p per share. Following this transaction, Mr Gay is
interested in 555,000 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 0.5 per cent.
of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
