    EAST HILLS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 20, 1998--Pall Corporation
(NYSE:PLL) has established subsidiary operations in South America and
Africa by acquiring the businesses of its distributors.
    These actions advance Pall's growth strategy, a fundamental
element of which is geographic expansion.
    In order to fully develop its market in South America, Pall has
established a headquarters, Pall Technologies S.A., in Buenos Aires,
Argentina. The Argentina operations will include Scientific and
Laboratory Services ("SLS") operations to better serve customers in
the region. They will serve all Pall markets throughout Central and
South America and will act as a base for further expansion in Latin
America.
    Pall also is establishing headquarters operations in Halfway
House, South Africa, which is located midway between Johannesburg and
Pretoria. The operations, Pall South Africa, already enjoy a strong
hold on the region's key Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage (especially
wine) and Industrial Hydraulics markets. Pall South Africa will focus
on southern Africa's industrial markets and will serve as a foundation
for expansion within Africa.
