Pall Corporation Announces Stock Repurchase Program
 
    EAST HILLS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 6, 1997--The Board of 
Directors of Pall Corporation (NYSE:PLL) has authorized the 
expenditure of up to $150 million to buy back the Company's own 
shares.  At current market prices, this would result in the 
repurchase of about 6.9 million shares, representing 5.5% of the 
shares presently outstanding.  

    The repurchase program will begin this month.  The Company's 
shares will be purchased over time in the open market or in privately
negotiated transactions.  Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith will 
act as exclusive agent for the program.  The repurchased shares will 
be added to the Company's supply of treasury shares and will be 
available for general corporate purposes including the exercise of 
stock options.  Pall Corporation has held four stock repurchase 
programs since 1992.  

    Eric Krasnoff, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pall
