Pall Corporation Elects Daniel J. Carroll, Jr. to Board of Directors

East Hills, NY (10/05/99) -- Pall Corporation (NYSE: PLL), a leading supplier of
filtration and separations technology, today announced that Daniel J. Carroll,
Jr. has been elected to the Board of Directors, Daniel Carroll is Chief
Operating Officer of Lucent Technologies' Business Communications Systems
(BCS).

In this position, Mr. Carroll is responsible for the day-to-day operations of
BCS and for instituting and implementing operational improvement plans for the
business.  Lucent Technologies was formerly AT&T's communications systems and
technology unit.

Mr. Carroll, 54 joined AT&T in 1965 and progressed through various engineering
and management positions.  As an AT&T Officer, he has had assignments in
Material Management.  Access and Billing Management, Switching Systems and
Global Procurement.

Eric Krasnoff, Pall Corporation's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said,

A native of new Jersey, Mr. Carroll earned his B.S. degree in 1965 and M.S.
degree in 1970 in electrical engineering from Newark College of Engineering. 
In 1977 he was selected to participate in the M.I.T. Sloan Program, earning an
M.S. in Management.

He is currently a member of the Electronic Industries Association Board of
Governors and a member of the Advisory Board of the School of Industrial
Management at New Jersey Institute of Technology.
