Ovoca Gold plc the AIM (OVG.L in London) and IEX (OVX.I in Dublin) listed Gold
and Platinum Exploration Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr.
Danesh Varma to Ovoca's Board of Directors, as Finance Director, with effective
from yesterday, 29 September 2005.



Mr. Varma has held the following directorships or partnerships in the past 5
years, all of which are still current:
