             Oasis Stores Plc ("Oasis")
 

Oasis  announces that today a High Court  judgement
was  obtained striking out the claims against Oasis
brought by Mr & Mrs Graham Brown on the basis  that
there  was  no  triable  cause  of  action  pleaded
against  Oasis and therefore the claims  made  were
bound  to fail.  These claims were referred  to  in
the  listing  particulars issued  at  the  time  of
Oasis' flotation on the London Stock Exchange.   An
application by Mr & Mrs Brown for leave  to  appeal
today's  judgement  to  the  Court  of  Appeal  was
refused.   The Browns, who are legally aided,  have
indicated   that,  subject  to  obtaining   further
funding  from the Legal Aid Board, they  will  seek
leave  from the Court of Appeal to proceed with  an
appeal against today's judgement.
 
The Brown's action against the remaining defendants
including  several  of the directors  of  Oasis  in
their  individual  capacity  is  ongoing  and  will
continue  to  be defended vigorously on  the  basis
that the action has no merit.
