Notification of Major Interests in Shares

PowderJect Pharmaceuticals PLC received today a notification from Norwich
Union Investment Management, informing them that following purchases of shares
totalling 94,260 on 2nd July, 1999, the Norwich Union Group material interest
is 2,214,585 Ordinary Shares, representing 3.02 per cent. of the issued
Ordinary Share capital of the Company.  These shares are registered as
follows:-
