Tempus  Group  PLC ("Tempus" or the "Company") received notification  on  12
November  1999 that, following the change in the Company's share capital  on
12  November  1999, the Norwich Union Group and Norwich  Union  plc  had  an
interest in 2,773,665 Tempus Shares, representing 3.91% of the issued  share
capital of Tempus.

The notification stated that the shares concerned are registered as follows:

Norwich Union Life & Pensions B A/c                   853,665
Norwich Union Pensions Management Ltd A/c           1,007,500
Norwich Union Pensions Management Ltd No2 A/c         912,500

Tempus also received notification from Morley Fund Management Limited on  12
November  1999,  that  following the change in the  Company's  issued  share
capital,   clients   of  Morley  Fund  Management  which   include   certain
subsidiaries of CGU plc no longer hold a notifiable interest in Tempus under
Part VI of the Companies Act 1985.

In  addition, on 12 November 1999, Ashley Graham Martin ("AGM"), a  director
of  Tempus  acquired  3,012 ordinary shares of 5p each in  the  Company  for
1.168p per share.  Such shares were acquired pursuant to the exercise by AGM
of  options granted to him under the Tempus Group 1989 Savings Related Share
Option Scheme.
