Announcement

Klaus Bollmann, the Chairman and Chief Executive of Network Technology Plc,
today announced a restructuring of the Board.

For the last three years, the Company has reduced the cost of the Board.  During
that time, the Directors have taken no salary and an independent committee to
deal with directors' compensation was not required.

As the Company is now looking more aggressively to the future it will require
independent representation on the Board for tasks such as adequately rewarding
the directors.  It is appropriate to appoint a Non-Executive Director and the
Company has offered this position to Mr Martin Pollins, MBA FCA.

Mr Pollins is a chartered accountant and was previously a non-executive member
of the Board from 1997 until 1999 when the board was restructured to deal with
the Company's situation then.  The Board will review the position of
Non-Executive Directors in six months' time.

At the same time David Mould has stepped down as a Director.  His position on
the Board will be made available for a rotating Executive Director to be
announced later in the year.  Mr Mould will continue to work for the Company in
his capacity as Chief Scientist and assisting the Board on technical issues.
