                             Network Technology Plc

Exploitation of renewable energy enabling and energy saving products

Network Technology PLC ("NT" and "the Group") announces today that it has formed
a new wholly owned subsidiary, SolarPlant Technology Ltd., whose purpose will be
to exploit technology owned by the Group, which is outside its core activities.

The Group has developed a number of renewable energy and power saving devices,
one of which is already in production and being sold. The purpose of SolarPlant
will be to develop, market and sell the Group's renewable energy and networked
energy saving products. SolarPlant will use NT companies for the manufacture of
its products, and will employ NT's development resources where applicable.

The principal product that SolarPlant will market at its inception will be an
energy saving electronic ballast for high efficiency fluorescent lighting.

NT will transfer its rights in its renewable energy technology and the
associated devices to SolarPlant for a cash consideration of US$60,000.

It is anticipated that in order to fully exploit the opportunities available to
SolarPlant, SolarPlant will seek to raise funds from new private investors in
the medium term.
