    Newport Networks selected by Newtel Solutions for VoIP Session Control.

Chepstow, UK. 5th October 2005. Newport Networks, the developer of carrier-class
1460 Session Border Controllers, has been selected by Newtel Solutions to
deliver access and interconnect session control for its next generation network.
The Newport 1460 is part of a larger order for NGN equipment placed by Newtel
Solutions with Newport's partner Marconi Corporation.

Newtel is the largest independent Internet Service Provider and telecoms company
in the Channel Islands offering a broad range of residential and business
services. As part of its continuous service innovation program Newtel decided to
upgrade its network to a next generation solution including session border
control from Newport Networks.

The 1460 is the industry's most future proof session control solution offering
unmatched scalability, performance and investment protection. The Newport 1460
can be deployed in an extremely flexible manner separating both signalling and
media alongside a simple migration path to important future standards such as
IMS (IP Multi-Media Subsystem).
